PILLARS OF LTP
The Leadership Training Program is an ECYD powered program that specializes in teaching boys and girls to live virtuously while being a leader in the world. The LTP Director for the boys is Father Andrew Gronotte LC and the Assistant director Brother Luke Rawicki LC. The LTP Director for the girls is Amelia Hoover. Regnum Christi Missionaries, year-long volunteers, assist in running the program.
The pillars of the Leadership Training Program are service, mentoring, and fun. Each grade school group does one large community service project each semester such as visiting a nursing home or orphanage, feeding the homeless, or cleaning up a community center.
The program reaches over 500 boys and girls. Many who have graduated from the program credit their success and their strength of faith to the experiences they had in LTP. Various former members of LTP have come back to help mentor the high school young men and share their testimony.
This directive team runs various LTP programs for elementary and high school age boys and girls throughout the Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. area. Program locations include Kensington, Bethesda, Rockville, Georgetown, McLean, Severna Park, and Gaithersburg.
HIGH SCHOOL LTP
As for the high school program, the boy’s meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month for a morning retreat, sports, mass, and lunch. On the 3rd Saturday of each month they participate in homeless missions, service projects, or missions of evangelization. There are also monthly round-table discussions held in the evenings where boys meet at a friend’s house to play sports, listen to and discuss relevant issues for teenagers, and have pizza.
Girl’s from middle and high school participate in Mentoring Mornings once a month in the Bethesda area, along with monthly missions.
